A fire detector is provided with an electric insulator consisting of short segments of preferably a ceramic pipe disposed end-to-end within the space between an inside cylindrical electrode and cylindrical outside electrode. The inside electrode together with the insulator segments are covered with a thin salt-based layer and are disposed in the interior of the outside electrode so that between the insulator segments and the internal wall of the outside electrode an air space is formed along the length of the detector, whereby the insulator segments each provide a point-type contact between the internal wall of the outside electrode and the thin salt-based layer.

The invention relates to fire alarm systems and can be used, in particular, in aircraft power plants, as well as in warehouse i and other premises protected by fire alarm systems. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the sensor.
FIG. 1 shows the proposed sensor, a longitudinal section; Figure 2 is a fire alarm scheme using a linear fire alarm sensor.
The linear fire alarm sensor contains an internal electrode 1 and an electrical insulator 2 in the form of short segments of a ceramic tube. Electrode 1 is located inside outer electrode 3A and together with electrical insulator 2 is covered with a thin layer of eutectic salt, which is the active element 4. Air space 5 is formed between electrode 1, electrical insulator 2 and inner wall of outer electrode 3, and insulator 2 has a point contact with the inner wall of the outer electrode 3.
The fire alarm scheme (Fig. 2 contains a fire detection unit 6 connected to the sensor electrodes 1 and 2 and the alarm unit 7. The fire is symbolically represented by element 8 The sensor operates as follows: The sensor in the unheated state is characterized by a high circuit resistance internal electrode 1 - insulator 2 - eutectic salt layer 4 - outer electrode 3, and only point contacting takes place

layer 4 of the eutectic salt with the inner wall of the outer electrode 3 and there is no galvanic connection of them, because of which there would be a small transitional resistance.
The occurrence of fire causes local overheating of the outer electrode 3, which causes the layer of salt of the active element 4 to melt in this zone, resulting in a sharp decrease in resistance. In this state, the current flows through the circuit of the inner electrode 1 - the layer of the active element 4 - the inner surface of the outer electrode 3.
The change in resistance is detected by block 6, from which the fire information enters block 7, which signals the fire.

Invention Formula
A linear fire alarm sensor that contains an outer electrode in the form of a tube, which is coaxial with the inner electrode, made in the form of a wire, and an active element made of a eutectic salt or a mixture of several salts, characterized in that an electrical insulator, made in the form of segments of a ceramic tube, strung on an internal research institute electrode, covered together with the internal electrode by a layer of the active element and installed with the provision of a point co tact with the inner surface of the outer electrode.
